女，教授，博士，现任山西师范大学教务处副处长，九三学社山西省青年工作委员会副主任，九三学社山西师范大学委员会副主委。1971年12月出生于山西省五台县，1997-2000在山西农业大学攻读硕士学位，2000年毕业后来到山西师范大学担任《普通动物学》的教学与科研工作，2003－2006年在中国科学院攻读博士学位。现为中国动物学会甲壳动物学分会理事，<Raffles Bulletin of Zoology>、<Systematic Parasitology>、<Journal of the Marine Biological Association of the United Kingdom>, <Integrative Zoology>等期刊的审稿专家。2006年度获得中国科学院冠名的“地奥奖学金”特等奖；2009年被评为山西师范大学教学名师。国际海洋生物多样性权威数据库WoRMS子数据库ChaRMS(Chineses Register of Marine Species)的主编，2014.12-2015.11在美国弗罗里达大学访学，山西省第六批学术技术带头人。
长期以来主要进行无脊椎动物系统分类学、生态学及动物地理学研究工作，到目前为止以第一作者或通讯作者发表科研论文50篇,其中30篇被SCI收录；主编《动物学野外实习指导》，参编《中学学科教学论》系列教材（9册），独著《中国寄生等足类分类学研究》，参编著作《中国海洋生物名录》。
主持国家自然科学基金面上项目1项，主持完成国家自然科学青年基金项目1项，主持科技部基础研究工作专项重点项目子课题《中国动物志》（鳃虱科）的编研；主持山西省留学人员科技活动项目重点项目1项；主持完成山西省自然科学基金项目1项，山西省软科学项目1项。
2017年以第一完成人获得山西省自然科学二等奖1项；山西省教学成果特等奖1项；2010年获山西省教学成果一等奖1项。
